The ads run, the money does not come The usual story: the account is live, the budget is spent, impressions are there, the phone is silent. The owner decides ads do not work in this industry and turns them off. Six months later, same result. It is almost never the platform. Here are the five causes we see most often, in order of frequency. # 1. The ad leads to the wrong place The ad promises a discount on a cleaning, and the click lands on a clinic home page with twenty services and no mention of the discount. Nobody hunts for it. They close the tab. The rule is simple: the promise from the ad has to be the first thing on the page, in the same words and with the same number. If you promised a 20 minute review, the top of the page says 20 minute review, not "we are a team of professionals since 2012". # 2. Leads wait a day for an answer People do not search in a vacuum. They left a request with you and with three other places, because they need this solved today. Whoever answers first wins. Everyone else gets a polite "I already found someone". Easy test: submit a lead on your own site from a phone nobody recognizes and time the reply. Many owners learn something unpleasant. # 3. The audience is far too broad "Whole state, 18 plus, interested in beauty" means your money goes to people who will never drive to you. For a local business, radius beats interests: people do not pick the best salon in the state, they pick the convenient one on the way home. # 4. There is not a single piece of proof The page says quality, fast, guaranteed. Everyone says that, so it means nothing. What works: photos of real work, reviews with names, before and after numbers, a ticket size, a turnaround time. One checkable fact beats ten adjectives. # 5. It was turned off after a week The first week is warm up, not a result. The platform is still learning who to show the ad to and does it badly at first. The budget goes out, leads are few, the owner switches it off and reports that ads do not work. A fair first read is two to four weeks at a steady budget. If there is still not a single lead by then, the problem really is the setup or the offer, and now you can fix it deliberately. # Find your reason in one evening Walk the same path your customer walks: 1. Open your own ad and click it. Is it clear in three seconds where you landed and what to do. 2. Submit a lead. How long until someone answers. 3. Check the settings: radius, age, interests. Can all those people actually reach you. 4. Read your page as a stranger. Is there one checkable fact on it. 5. Look at how many days the campaign ran untouched. Nine times out of ten, one of those steps shows exactly where the money leaks. # Fix one thing at a time If you change everything at once you will not know what helped. Start with step one: matching the ad to the page usually moves the needle most and costs nothing. If you want, we can walk this path together and point at where your leads are lost.
