Why caution beats creativity here Insurance and financial services are regulated. Limits come from three directions: the law, your license, and platform rules. On top of that, platforms treat finance as a sensitive category and look at these ads more closely. So, first rule: check your license and state requirements before launching. Second: do not promise what does not depend on you. # What to avoid in the copy - Promises of returns or "guaranteed savings". - Specific figures such as "save 40 percent" with no source and no qualifiers. - Pressure and artificial urgency. - Wording that reads as advice on someone's specific situation without any analysis. # What works ## A calculation, not a promise "We will look at your case and show the options" sounds more modest than "we will halve your bill", and it brings people who actually want to understand. ## Explaining the complicated simply Someone who arrived in the US recently often does not know how insurance works, what drives the price, or what is covered. Material explaining that in their own language brings enquiries more cheaply than any direct ad. ## The advisor as a person In finance people buy the person. A face, a name, experience, a license, a city. An anonymous site with pictures of office buildings inspires nothing. ## Specific reviews Not "everything was great", but "helped me understand the policy, went through it point by point, replied in the evening". Check whether your license permits client testimonials and in what form. # Where clients come from Search works when there is an event: bought a car, closed on a house, had a baby, changed jobs. Those events create specific searches. Social works for explanation and for staying present: nobody shops for insurance daily, but when they need it they remember whoever explained things clearly. Referrals inside the community are a strong separate channel. Advertising does not replace word of mouth here, it supports it: someone is recommended to them, they look you up and find a clear site with reviews. # Data and forms Do not collect what you do not need at the first step. Social security numbers, dates of birth and income details do not belong in an ordinary web form. A name, a contact and one question about the task are enough. Everything else goes through a secure channel. # What to count Enquiries, scheduled conversations and policies written. The cycle here is long: someone may come back two months later. So always ask new clients where they came from and record the answer, otherwise the whole long path gets credited to chance. # Where to start 1. Confirm license and state requirements for advertising. 2. Build a page explaining the process with a clear first step. 3. Record short explanations of common questions in your clients' language. 4. Remove unnecessary fields from your forms. 5. Keep a record of enquiries with source and date. On a review call we look at which events create demand in your state and suggest which channel to start with.
